Our big news!

So back to where I was.  My best friend Melody had just found out that she was pregnant on December 31st.  Remember?  Anyways,  I had a few more phone calls from dear friends that told me of their pregnancy. I was so excited because........WE FOUND OUT WE ARE EXPECTING Baby #2 on January 9th.  We were rejoycing!  But we were also praying.  Praying for several of our friends who are experiencing infertility.  Praying for our other friends who were newly pregnant and praying for our little bundle.  I wanted to shout it from the roof top but I also wanted to keep it a secret because I did not want to hurt a few of our dear friends feelings because they have been trying for the past two years.  Kevin and I like to hold our news for a while because you just never know but I did spill the beans to Mel, my 2 other friends who just found out they were pregnant and then I had to tell my two best friends from college. 

Melody and I could not believe it.  First of all, we our first kids are born within three months of each other. That's super close.  Second of all, Melody had breast cancer which required a lot of chemo therapy treatments and medications.  Her doctors gave her the go ahead to expand their family but they could not guarantee they would get pregnant.  Mel had pretty much given up and was ready to schedule surgery for her recommended hysterectomy.  Low and behold, God blessed them with Baby #2.  Then when I found out we were expecting we knew that God had a special plan.  Our due dates are within 7 days of each other.  WOAH!
